Untile News: The Latest News You Can't Miss!

It's incredible how here at Untile so much happens in such a short time. Events, awards, training, and audits, are just some of the various activities that take place here at Untile and we share them on our networks to always stay up to date with all the news that occurs. However, there is nothing like a blog article to bring into more detail everything we are doing or have already done, and even achieved during the period that has passed since our last article.

So, check out below what these last few months have been like here at Untile and everything we've been involved in. It's a pleasure to be able to share these moments with you!

We are very happy to announce that we want to grow our team!

This year, new people have already joined Untile and our mission. Therefore, we are happy when we realize that we can increase our team even further, to deliver the best experience for our customers.

We recently began a search for Backend Developers and Digital Product Design to join our Engineering and Design team here at Untile. We are looking for people who have a passion for technology, want to make incredible digital products, and want to join a unique team, who love challenges and want to work with us towards our purpose: simplifying lives digitally.

We are Best Workplaces Europe!

After winning the award for Best Company to Work for in Portugal, in the small business category, we were nominated for Best Places Europe. In addition to being an honor for us to be alongside such incredible companies, we are very happy to achieve this achievement and grateful for our team who were the reason we got this far.

At the end of September, the results came out and, in front of so many companies that participated and had worked as hard as us, we won 13th place in Best Workplaces Europe in the small companies category. We were one of 5 Portuguese companies to be in this ranking. Therefore, we know that it was a great achievement for Untile and our team.

This demonstrated the result of a culture built over recent years that has our people as its main pillar. In addition to having participated in the construction of our organizational culture, they are also the center of our culture and we build everything around them. We are grateful for everyone who is part of it and who has taken Untile's work so far.

We believe that this was just another one of our great achievements and we are ready, in 2024, to win even more awards that recognize our work and its results. For now, we are happy with everything we have achieved, and we are ready to celebrate this new award!

What do you know about the nutrition field? Have you been eating well? Do you know what is good or bad for your body?

Well, that's what we decided to bring to our Untile team! Over the last few months, we brought in nutritionist Hélia Barros, in partnership with Espaço HB, to introduce better eating habits to our team, teach them how to make better choices, and of course, learn how to make simple, quick, and nutritious meals.

During the sessions, in addition to being a moment of exchange between our team and the nutritionist, it was also a cool moment of coexistence between our team, where at various times we had to work as a team to be able to enjoy and get the most out of the workshop. , learning and making recipes of the most diverse types and difficulties. We can even say that we were one of the teams that worked best together according to Hélia Barros!

Now, after the end of the workshop sessions, we already have new ones arriving. In addition to the usual English classes that we always offer to our team, in November we will start a financial literacy workshop. There will be two classes where you will learn more about investments, how to spend best your money, and basic principles that make a difference in people's daily lives.

These are moments that, in addition to teamwork - whether in person or online - are important learning experiences for our people's lives and, therefore, we make a point of offering them to everyone interested and thus take learnings from Untile beyond the technical part of your work, but also for your personal life!

We started our internal training for the team!

On October 13th, we kicked off our internal training and soon started with training for First Aid and Emergency Response. This was just one of several upcoming training courses, ranging from first aid to good ergonomics practices.

These training moments are extremely important, not only to strengthen the bond between our team members but also to acquire valuable knowledge about crucial issues and learn how to react in emergencies.

Therefore, the lessons learned are not just limited to the work environment; they become valuable tools to apply in our daily lives, contributing to safety and well-being not only at work but in all areas of our lives.

We are ISO 9001, 27001, and NP4552 certified and you already know this, but do you know how they work?

These certificates demonstrate, that in addition to our commitment to working with a quality management model and information security, we are also committed to the balance between our people's personal and professional lives.

Therefore, when we are approved and obtain the certificates, we have annual audits to review the processes, improve what is necessary, and renew our seal.

Normally, we have two internal audits - which took place in May and September - and an external audit, which took place at the beginning of October, and it is the official one that counts to make sure that everything is within the necessary standards.

Internal audits are important, as they serve as preparation for the external audit, and make us review everything that is necessary. Furthermore, of course, we are always monitoring and updating, together with the teams, our processes, indicators, and points for improvement.

This time of year is always extremely important for Untile and our team and we are happy to be approved again. We are now ready to continue with the necessary improvements and move towards another certified year.

We were present at the first edition of the Wellbeing Summit and the Wellbeing Awards!

At the beginning of October, the first edition of the Wellbeing Summit took place, an event promoted by Workwell and which aims to talk about people's health in the workplace, show success stories, lead important debates on the topic, and of course, make networking with companies that are referenced in this field.

We were invited to participate in the Wellbeing Summit, as we were one of the finalist companies in the Wellbeing Awards. This year, we were among the top 12 companies in the category of up to 250 employees, and we had the honor of sharing this moment with incredible companies.

Another achievement for Untile, and another moment to reflect on where we can improve, what new initiatives we can insert into our culture and for our people, and be inspired to go even further.

We were also happy to participate in this moment of the event and the awards! It was a day of a lot of learning and inspiration that we have already brought internally and are ready to go further.
